Tight Precision wins Churchill Downs feature

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -Tight Precision raced to a four-length victory over Phola to win the Veterans Day Purse for fillies and mares at Churchill Downs on Wednesday.

Ridden by Jesus Castanon, Tight Precision covered the 1 1/16 miles on the turf in 1:41.61. The 4-year-old took the lead at the quarter pole and drew away for her third win in 12 starts.

Owned by Edward Sukley, Tight Precision increased her career earnings to $136,370 with the $23,880 winner's share.

The winner paid $5.60, $3.60 and $2.80, while Phola returned $5.60 and $4. Kiss Mine was a neck back in third and paid $4.
